Rockweed also called Knotted Wrack Lat: Ascophyllum Nodosum
The ascophyllum is a seaweed with a strong constituency of an olive green colour sometimes yellowish to green brownish. Its form is long and flat with floaters at regular intervals. Usually one floater means one year of age. It lives up to 15 meters deep and can reach from 1 to 3 meters in length.
It can be found in the Mediterranean Sea but mainly in the Northern hemisphere on both sides of the Atlantic. Where it is found it can sometimes cover wide areas on the coast which leave no room for other species to grow.

Both products are organic certified and are available from March until December. Sold in 50lbs paper bags or in one metric ton bulk bags. The lead time is 4 weeks. The minimum order is 100lbs.
